昨天下午来自武汉大学的非洲留学生安迪和布兰德一行来到九重歌武汉翻译公司探讨汉语中的文言文句子的翻译。其中有个句子的翻译是：子曰：“知者不惑，仁者不忧，勇者不惧。”——《子罕》首先把古文翻译成现代：文孔子说：“智慧的人遇事不迷惑，仁德的人不忧愁，勇敢的人无所畏惧。” 然后再把现代文翻译成英文或法语。

例如：

      1950年代发现的山西永济永乐宫元代道教壁画，篇幅巨大，气势宏伟，神灵活现，一时震惊画坛。在永乐宫迁址清理中发现作者题记，证实这些杰作是朱好古及其门人张遵礼、李弘宜、王椿等绘制的。现藏加拿大多伦多安大略博物馆的兴化寺壁画亦是他们的手笔。

The Taoism mural of Yongle Palace of Yuan Dynasty found in Yongji, Shanxi Province in 1950, was huge and magnificent, gods came alive, shocked the painting fields temporarily. The author’s inscription was found in the clearing up process of Yongle Palace removal, which confirmed that these master-pieces were painted by Zhu Haogu and his students such as Zhang Zunli, Li Hongyi, and Wang Chun and so on. Nowadays the Xinghua temple mural collected in Ontario Museum of Toronto, Canada, was also their works.

朱好古全面继承了历代院体画工的艺术技巧，创造性地为金、元间兴起的全真派道教寺观谋篇巨制。帝王的崇圣之表、仙道的修真之颜、儒贤的高识之态、隐逸的遁世之风、武士的英烈之貌、玉女的端丽之容、鬼怪的险恶之状……，造型精到，线条健劲，色泽绚烂，曲竟其妙。然，世人知永乐宫壁画者众，却罕有知朱好古者。余作图以赞，聊补遗珠之憾。

Zhu Haogu comprehensively inherited the artistry of imperial-court decorative painting of all dynasties, creatively designed grand works for the temples of Quanzhen Daoism rised in Jin and Yuan Dynasties. Emperor’s hallowed expression, sendoh’s coatard face, confucianist’s knowledgeable posture, hermit’s cloistral demeanour, warrior’s heroic looks, teenage girl’s graceful appearance, evil spirits’ atrocious shape, etc., their modeling is delicate, line is forceful, color is gorgeous, express the subtlety tactfully and finely. However, many people know Yongle Palace mural, but few people know Zhu Haogu. So I draw a picture praising him, just to remedy the pity of unrecognized talent.

圣手妙造全真境，庄丽恢宏列众仙。

画崇六法求神韵，永乐宫里品三年。

Inscription

Grandmaster finely create Quanzhen scene,

Magnificent grand immortals listed.

Painting advocating six methods pursuing verve,

Yongle Palace mural worth being tasted for three years.

子曰：“学而时习之，不亦悦乎?有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎?人不知而不愠，不亦君子乎?” 

The Master said, "to learn and at due times to repeat what one has learned, is that not after all a pleasure? That friends should come to one from afar, is this not after all delightful? To remain unsoured even though one's merits are unrecognized by others, is that not after all what is expected of a gentleman?"
